Moving Tips

Before you move you need to decide if you would like to self-pack your belongings yourself or if you would like us to pack for you. We can also provide boxes and wardrobe cartons if you require them.
Here are some tips you can use if you choose to pack yourself:

Packing Supplies
  • Small/medium & large boxes

  • Packing tape/ fragile tape*

  • Bubble wrap

  • Old newspapers or wrapping paper

  • Marker pen & Labels

Start Packing Early

Packing early will make life easier for you. Start by packing the items you know you will not need for a while, like seasonal items such as Christmas decorations and lights, then carry on packing in accordance to the likelihood of use, leaving essentials until last. It is a good idea to pack items you might need as soon as you arrive at your new house in a suitcase or box and transport it with you so you will have them straight away.

Protect Valuables

If you own any valuables, ornaments or items which may break easily it is recommended the you carefully wrap them in newspaper/ tissue paper* and/or bubble wrap. Always remember to label the box as fragile clearly with a pen or fragile tape*.
